Packaging - The packaging on this product is very nice. It has a very heavy duty black tub, which contains a sifter so not too much product is dispersed onto the puff/your brush. Some people may not like the packaging as they might think it is quite bulky, it is something that you need to have the right size storage to hold this product. I like the packaging because I think it looks very appealing and professional on your counter/in your make up storage. It is quite bulky but I really don't mind that as I have big enough storage to hold it in and big enough makeup bags if I want to take it on my travels. The fact that it comes with a puff is also very convenient, it means that if you bring this and you forget your powder brush, depending on the fact that you don't throw your powder puff away, then it won't matter because you can just use that instead.

 

Texture - The texture of this product is extremely silky, smooth and easily blendable. Because the product sys HD, it means that it is less likely to give you the white cast on your face, while still mattifying it. At first, you might think it won't blend because the product is straight up white, however when buffed in or just feathered over your face/skin, you get no white on your face, it becomes completely transparent. It also makes your skin feel extremely smooth. Because it is a translucent powder, you are not going to get any extra coverage out of it, so it does mean that it feels more light weight on your face. When I apply this, it feels like I have nothing on my face. I put this on top of a foundation that was awful for taking photos and lasted on my skin for about 2-3 hours, just to see how well it worked. AMAZING! The foundation looked sooo much better when taking pictures and recording, and it made the length of wear of my foundaton from 2-3 hours, to 5-6 hours, so I think that is a huge plus.

 

When Do I Apply This? You apply this after you have finished your face make-up. (Foundation concealer and any other cream product e.g. blush). The reason being is that it will set your make-up, prolonging the wear of it all and will also make it not as shiny. You could apply this as a last step as a finishing powder, but I just use this as a regular face powder, I think that gives me the best effect. I use the Clinique Powder Brush to apply this, I use it sparingly over the face, but concentrate it a bit more in the areas I have put concealer, so it lasts longer.

 

I've Applied Too Much! -  Don't worry! Take a finishing/moisturising spray and spray your face a couple times. This will prevent anything looking cakey if you have applied too much, and will remove some of the excess product, giving your skin a nice healthy glow at the same time. Fixing sprays are really nice and I have to use them quite a lot if I go a bit happy on the powder! They really do help and that's a solution i've been doing for ages now.

 

Would I Reccomend This Product? - Of course! I think it's great value for the money, helps my make up last all day by actually setting it, stops the terrible white cast/flash back you can get from cameras so, I think it's amazing! Again, the packaging might not be for everyone, but it certainly is for me!

Elf Makeup Mist and Set spray - Review

Hey! So today I have a review for you on the ELF Makeup Mist and Set Spray, which is £3.75 off the studio line on the ELF website which I will link below. The studio line products used to be £3.50 but they went up, but they are still really cheap.



So, this product contains 60ml in each bottle, which is pretty small but you don't need a lot and I have had this a couple of months and I haven't used much. The purpose of this, is that when you finish your makeup application, you spray this, about 1-3 times onto your face and it's supposed to lock in your makeup and keep it from sweating off, smudging and fading away in the middle of the day. For that purpose it does it's job very well, I put it to the 24 hr  test and without this on my makeup lasted around 9 hours, which is not bad, but with this product sprayed 3 times all over my face, then it lasted a total of 12 hours on my face which is really good!

However, I did notice that it did leave a dry, red patch on my face so if I'm going to use it then i have to make sure I apply a thick moisturiser before applying my make up and after taking it off. The smell of this product is the same as the brush cleaner as in that I can't out my finger on what it is except that it is a very sharp scent but, unlike the brush cleaner, the scent doesn't linger on your face and it isn't as strong.

I would definitely recommend this product as I absolutely love it.

Pure Essentials Eye Cream - review

So, in the bottle of Pure Essential Eye Cream, you get 15ml of product for £2.29 which, is ok i guess. But, it is a bit steep for an eye cream. The texture is very silky but it feels and looks like jelly on your eyelids. Although, it only feels like jelly on your eyelids until it has sank in which doesn't take a long time to do.

You put this under your eyes (your lower lashline) and on your eyelids, all the way up to your brow bone. It is supposed to moisturise and reduce signs of ageing. I am not old, i'm still quite young, so I dont have signs of ageing so I don't quite know if that part of the product actually works.

The smell is very, very faint so you can hardly smell anything. You can tell that there is a scent there but it is such a weak scent, that you can't make out what it is, so it's perfect as sometimes the scent of some creams,I find, can tend to sting or irritate your eyes.

The colour is clear, which I found very interesting as I thought it would look like your average, white moisturiser. It is quite thick but when you put it on it feels very fresh and almost like you have splashed cold water onto your eyelids. It is very refreshing and makes your eyelids feel silky smooth, almost like there is no bumps or wrinkles on your eyelids when you run your finger over your eyelid, or where ever you applied the product.

Your eyelids feel amazing after use. The amount you need is very little as, like the OCC lip tars, a little goes a long way, so I would say just as the product starts to come out press it down onto your hand and that will do for 1 eyelid, well it does for mine anyway.

This product is amazing and I really love it. You can use it on a night and on a morning but, I only use it on either the morning or the night, depending on how much time I have on the morning and if I think I don't need it,(which almost never happens!)

ELF Daily Brush Cleaner - review.

Hey beauts! I purchased the ELF Daily Brush Cleaner quite a while back. But, I have tried it enough to give you a review!

So, firstly the amount you get is really generous as it is a 60ml bottle. At £3.75 it is not a bad deal. Eventhough you get a lot, you do need to spray the product quite a few times until you get enough for an acceptable clean. The scent of the product itself is really strong and it does stay on the bristles of the brush. So, if you are not one for strong scents then I would not reccomend this product as it will linger on the brush even after you have left it to dry. 

For me, the best way to use it is - lay your brush down on a cotton pad, then spray about 5 pumps onto the brush and go back and forth into cleaner.

It is not a bad product, however I have made a makeup remover (which I will do a blog post on how I made it) and I have to say, it does clean it better and it doesn't have a strong scent. Although, for £3.70 you really cant go wrong with it. So I would recommend it to you but I do have to say that only use it on brushes that don't need a lot of cleaning.
